But the master of deception won’t go down easy, armed with a diabolical plan and a legion of evil to take down anyone who gets in their way…including the Hex Boys. Aurora and her six Hexy Knights dive into the belly of the Mandatum beast and wade through murky moral waters where trusting the wrong people is the only way to make things right.

What could possibly go wrong?

In Aurora’s case…everything.

I hope this review isn't all over the place because my mind is blown after reading the third installment in one of my all time favorite series!! This book is magnificent, amazing, and every possible (positive) adjective you could think of and you definitely need to check this book out now! One thing that I have always loved about this series is how different each book is from the previous story, yet still having a cohesive underlying plot. A & E Kirk have done it again, and crafted a wondrous story that will blow you away, and leave you begging for more...more adventures, more craziness, more Hex Boys...you know, the usual.

This installment definitely had a different feel to it as it is a bit more serious in nature. We're delving more into the world of the Divinicus Nex and Mandatum, and seeing the dangerous side of this world that A & E Kirk have created. I absolutely loved this because it shows not only their growth as authors, but it also shows that they have more to offer than just humorous (albeit still amazing) storytelling powers. This book stands as a major turning point as well for the series, at least in my opinion, as we're starting to discover more and more about what exactly it means to be the Divinicus Nex. Have no fear though Divinicus Nex fans, there is still plentyof hilarious scenes with the Hex Boys and inner monologue from Aurora! There were many, many scenes that left me laughing for several minutes (even thinking of them now, I start laughing)!!
“I’d prefer a debriefing by the professional,” Matthias said. “Rather than one of the idiot’s exhausting, million-words-in-one-breath babbling explanations.” “Hey,” I said. “That is a rare talent.” “Maybe your only talent.”
Aurora definitely steps it up in this novel. She still is the feisty, kick-butt heroine we have come to know and love, but she's even stronger and braver than in previous books. Granted, Aurora's still klutzy to the max, but that makes her even more awesome (and more relatable, at least for me who is almost Aurora's equal in klutziness). While I was a bit disappointed that we didn't get as much from the Hex Boys in this novel, we still get plenty of scenes with them. They bring their sexy hexy nature into every scene, and trust me...you'll love every single second of it. Shirts go flying, and this girl definitely wasn't complaining!

We also see more of Cristiano, aka Armani. While I wasn't a huge fan of him in the beginning (because let's face it, no one can get in the way of my OTP of Ayden and Aurora and anyone who does better watch up because I'll go all ninja on them), by the end I was very intrigued by him. Cristiano is the ultimate mystery and there's a lot about his character that hasn't been explained yet. I have my own theories about his character, one of which is that he might just be the Bellator, but I imagine we'll be seeing much more from him in future books.

“In what world is Armani here seventeen?”
Cristiano shrugged unapologetically. “They feed us better in Italy.”
Action aplenty, new exciting adventures, and some major twists you willnever see coming, Demons in Disguise has it all! If you are a fan of this series, you definitely need to check this novel out as soon as possible. Don't waste a second, and get your hands on this book now! I can't wait to see what happens next!!

Oh and one more thing...A & E Kirk get all the bonus points for having a Doctor Who reference in this novel! I seriously love you guys!!
